I was looking for a new hair colorist in Queens since my trusted one moved to Long Island and opened shop too far for me to get to. My friend recommended I go to Riva hair salon and I was not disappointed! Jody is so nice and she carries really great conversation with all her clients. I have very dark brown hair and I told I am trying to go as light as possible. It came out great and am going back to get it lighter in a few weeks! Bleaching is always a scary process but she handled everything great and my hair is still very healthy. Only complaint would be that a cut and blow out was $70, which I personally think is a little high but I have no complaints about Jody!

Marina I think was her name did my hair. Honestly she did amazing I gave her a TikTok video of the hair I wanted and she replicated exactly, she made me feel so welcomed and I truly felt like she gave me her all and that's why next time I'm going back just for her.

I called here 10 mins before I wanted to come in for a blowout and they took me right away! Marina gave me an amazing blowout and all of the staff was very friendly. They use high end products and the blowout was only $30 which is very reasonable for the area

NEVER HAVE I EVER GOT SO MY COMPLIMENTS ON MY HAIR COLOR!! (Even from guys!!) Thank you!! This review is long overdue but I never write reviews!! Never has a hair colorist sat with me and explained the journey to get to the hair color I was aiming for Isaac did!! I am so grateful and was so happy with my results and they are very complimentary to my skin color as well. Salon and staff are welcoming and clean! Isaac even gave me a free product for my curls since it was my first time there! Love the product it's light and doesn't weigh down my curls when I don't want to straighten my hair. Will be back!

Amazing service provided by Mariana. She styled my hair so well. She knew just what I needed! I did have to wait a bit for my appt but nothing out of ordinary. Gotta respect everyone's time 🙂 I will be returning back every 3mo!

I finally found the Best hair colorist around! I have been looking for years for a good colorist. I have been to some of the top hair salons in Manhattan, Long Island and even Brooklyn and have not been happy. My good friend recommended I go see Isaac . All I have to say is he was amazing! He was so nice and he listened to what I wanted. He was patient and made sure I was happy. Very, very professional. I also got a cut with Marina who did a nice job. I will never go anywhere else and I will highly recommend Riva Salon to all my friends and family. Hands down the Best place:))

Moved to NYC from the west coast and NEEDED a professional hair cut. I have thick, curly/wavy hair and am always terrified of the first try at a new place because you just don't know if your stylist actually knows how to handle curls. Well, Luna knows exactly what she's doing. She trained at deva, and has worked with curly girls for almost 20 years. She's great! Very knowledgeable! Good price too. If you have curls and need a cut, ask for Luna! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
